How it works

Scan
Hold a card in the frame. ShinySnap recognizes it on your phone and saves it. When the same art exists in several printings, you pick the right one.

Fill your binders
Each card goes into the binder you're scanning into, with its price. Copies of the same card stack into one tile. You can move, archive or share cards later.

Home shows what your collection is worth and the sets you're working on.

Scan cards without saving them to get a total. Turn on Trade and it adds up your cards and theirs side by side.

Set progress and wishlists
Every set you've started shows something like "14 of 30". A wishlist holds the cards you want and stays out of your collection's value.

Market prices in US dollars or euros, updated once a day. Each binder has a value chart, and each card links to the big marketplaces if you want to buy it.

Send a binder as image pages or a text list, with or without prices. Useful before a trade.

The card catalog lives on your phone, so scanning and search work without a signal. Prices come from the last daily update.

Is ShinySnap free?
The app is free to download and use. The free plan has 200 scans a month, starting again on the 1st, and adding cards by search is unlimited. It holds 500 cards in 3 binders, plus 1 wishlist. Pro removes those limits.
Which cards does it recognize?
English-language Pokémon TCG cards, from vintage sets to new releases. New sets arrive through catalog updates, without an app update. Japanese and other languages aren't supported yet.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The card catalog is stored on your phone, so scanning and search work without a signal. Prices are the most recent daily update the app downloaded, and card images you've seen stay cached.
Where do the prices come from?
From public market data of major online card marketplaces, updated daily, in US dollars or euros. They're estimates and may differ from what a card actually sells for.
What happens to my data?
It stays on your phone. There's no account, no ads and no tracking. The app downloads the catalog, prices and card images, and checks Pro purchases with the store. Details are in the privacy policy.
iPhone or Android?
Both, with the same features and the same plans. Backups use the same file format on both, so a collection can move from one phone to the other. Pro is bought through the App Store or Google Play and doesn't move between them.
